A '77 batch alumnus of NIT, Durgapur (Erstwhile R.E.C. Durgapur, WB) served with M/S Asea Brown Bover Limited ( ABB Ltd. ) from 1982 to 1999. During the period, he was associated with the commissioning of India's first 400 KV switchyard at Panki, Kanpur in 1982. Served as Sr. Manager – Design & Development, of Medium Frequency Induction Furnace (Electrical , Electronics & Automation ) and Arc Furnace (Automation) in Furnace Division between 1986 - 1992 and headed Electronics Division - ARC Furnace & M.F Induction Furnace (Design & Development) from 1996 - 1999.
From the year 2000 onward till 2008 he was involved in the following project with M/S ABB as a Project Consultant (Including Tendering, Design and assisting Commissioning):

Working with the company since 2012 and responsible for Design & Execution of Project in the field of Steel Industries. Mr. Rajesh Oberoi superannuated from the post of Executive Director from Mecon Limited in 2012. He has over 40 years of experience and during his tenure in Mecon Limited from 1974 to 2012 at various positions for design, detailed engineering, supply, erection and commissioning and consultancy of fluid systems (Hydraulics, Lubrication, water, steam, gas, Descaling, Pneumatic, Strip cooling, Roll cooling systems etc) of various units of integrated steel plants and turnkey supply and consultancy of hot and cold rolling mills. Major turnkey project executed like CRM-2 complex of Bokaro Steel Plant, Bar and Wire rod mill-1 and Bar and Wire Rod Mill -2 of RINL, Revamping of Hot Strip Mills of Rourkela and Bokaro Steel Plant and Section Mill of Durgapur Steel Plant. Major Consultancy projects for fluid and utility systems of various units include expansion of Bokaro Steel Plant. Consultancy for Expansion of various units of Rourkela Steel Plant from 2.00 to 4.00 MT expansion was completed under the leadership of Mr. Rajesh Oberoi as Executive Director, Mecon, Rourkela
Mr. Sinha is having a rich experience of 39 years. He is a Graduate in Mechanical Engineering -1972 and then did M.B.A in Materials & Marketing Management. He started his career with Hindustan Steelworks Construction Ltd(HSCL) in 1972 as Asst. Divisional Engineer, then moved to Arthur Butler & Company from 1976-1980, and then to Bharat Wagon & Engg. Co. Limited from 1980 to 2001. His specialization includes Project Management with CPM & PERT, Imparting Training & strengthening Institution, Preparation of Contract documents & Industrial Management.
